These terms govern use of the Roobs marketplace at roobs.co.uk. By creating an account or using the site you agree to them.
1. Who we are
Roobs is an online marketplace where individuals and businesses list, bid on, and buy new and used items in the United Kingdom. Roobs is a venue: contracts for sale are between buyer and seller, not with Roobs, except where we say otherwise.
2. Accounts
You must be 18 or over to register. Keep your login details safe and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, including fake listings, unpaid items, or abuse of other members.
3. Listing and selling
Listing is free. You must own the item (or be authorised to sell it), describe it honestly, and show photographs of the actual item. Prohibited goods, counterfeits, and misleading auctions are not allowed. You must honour winning bids and Buy it Now sales at the stated price, plus any listed postage.
4. Buying and bidding
Bids are binding. Do not bid unless you intend to pay. Buy it Now and basket checkout create an order with the seller once Stripe confirms the payment. Check item condition, postage, and seller feedback before you buy. Consumer rights under UK law apply where the seller is acting in the course of a business.
5. Payments
Card payments are taken by Stripe inside Roobs checkout. Roobs does not store your card number. Sellers are paid according to the order status shown in their dashboard.
6. Postage, collection and returns
Postage or collection terms are set on each listing. Business sellers must offer returns required by the Consumer Contracts Regulations. Private sellers should describe any return policy clearly. Raise issues with the seller first via Roobs messages.
7. Watchlist, messages and content
Watchlist items are for your account only. Do not use messaging to share payment details off-platform, spam, or harass others. You grant Roobs a licence to display content you upload (titles, photos, descriptions) in order to operate the marketplace. We may remove content that is unlawful or against these terms.
8. Fees and changes
Listing is currently free. We may introduce fees with notice on the site. We may change these terms; continued use after a published update is acceptance of the new terms.
9. Liability
Roobs does not inspect listings. We are not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of items, the accuracy of listings, or the ability of members to complete a sale, except where we cannot exclude liability under UK law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
